True North
Strategic Life and Wellness coaching
About True North
True North is a strategic life and wellness coaching practice that helps adults and teens get unstuck, regain direction, and create healthier, more fulfilling lives through accountability, structure, and personalized support. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on processing the past, coaching is forward-focused and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on taking action.
We work with people who feel frustrated by patterns they haven’t been able to change. Some want to improve their diet and exercise or build a more consistent daily routine. Others are ready for something different but aren’t confident in how to get there, whether that means navigating a life transition, strengthening relationships, or re-entering the world of dating.
That is where we come in.
What distinguishes our approach is that while we help improve the more visible aspects of wellness, we place equal focus on the intangibles: how you communicate with yourself and others, how you manage stress, and how socially connected you feel. As the data show, true wellness comes from aligning physical habits with underlying patterns that drive change, motivation, and self-accountability.
About Michele
Grounded in both academic rigor and clinical wellness training, founder Michele Simonte integrates strategic thinking with mind-body alignment. She holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University, graduating with high distinction, and a certification in Lifestyle and Wellness Medicine from Harvard Medical School, where she trained with Dr. Beth Frates, President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Through that program, Michele studied the foundational pillars of lifestyle medicine, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and behavior change. Dr. Frates’ work approaches wellness as an interconnected system of mind, body, and emotional health. Michele has also received a certification from Yale University’s Science of Well-Being program, led by Dr. Laurie Santos, which explores the psychological research on the connection of self-accountability to life satisfaction and genuine happiness.
Together, these programs reinforce what research consistently shows: our physical health and habits are inseparable from our emotional health and mindset, and that true well-being is defined by achieving both.
